Current River Conditions: 143 CFS below Downieville. 

​Fishing-Good: Mark Merrill, formerly of Kiene's Fly Shop reported this week that he's been doing well up in the Downieville area lately.  Flows are perfect right now and fishing should be very good as the river was just planted recently.  Dark patterns are easier for fish to see. On top, the usual Elk Hair Caddis and Parachutes are all you need.  In these low water conditions hopper-dropper rigging will work the best. With cooler fall weather fishing should be getting better over the next month. ​
